Last week, I got a message on LinkedIn:
Hey Devin,
I thought about accepting...
...then I wondered how you'd even go about an audit without asking any questions. What do your customers need? What challenges do you face? Anything.
As I thought about it more, I realized the real reason this bugged me: I don't need another voice telling me to do better. There are countless articles out there, so many gurus and influencers—and believe me, I've already got a running list in my brain of 163 things I can do better.
I, myself, dish out occasional tips and advice in these emails... albeit (hopefully) with a touch more respect for your craft.
So today—no advice. I just want to tell you this:
You are doing great.
While some people are busy pointing out problems, you're out there solving them.
You're smart. (I know you are because you're using Bitly).
And you know how to get it done. (Sometimes with a little help from Bitly.)
Here's the thing: we're all learning. And sometimes, we're all making it up as we go along.
So keep it up. Stay positive.
You're doing great.
from your #1 fan,
