Publishers must keep their comments section safe and civil. Here are some tips to help!
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Dear Publishers, We are reaching out today to highlight a few key moderation features. We encourage you to keep your comments section safe and civil. Please review your comment policy and rules, publish your policy, enforce the rules, and ban users.
- Comment Policy - Set the tone of your community and lay a foundation for what is acceptable.
- Moderation Profiles - Configure comments and setup rules to automatically moderate your community.
- Restricted word filter - Any time a comment or name contains a word you've specified in this filter, it will go to the Pending queue. You can add up to 2,000 words to the list.
- Pending filter by type - You can filter by flagged, restricted word, low rep, etc. From the moderation panel, you can see which comments are labelled as toxic.
- Setting flag threshold - Comments which are flagged X number of times are removed from public view.
*Also keep in mind: Clicking into any comment in the moderation panel will show a number of thread-specific moderation options that can be used to better manage difficult threads. See image below:
