While your Kotak Debit Card is already safe & secure for seamless transactions, here are some precautions which will help you safeguard yourself from card related frauds.

It’s a secret Never disclose your card number, expiry, CVV, PIN or OTP with anybody & do not write it anywhere.   Sign up for SMS/email alerts Keep track of your banking activities.   Avoid surprises Before you enter the PIN at any POS terminal of a retail outlet, carefully check the amount displayed.   Keep the card in your sight Don’t allow the merchant to take away the card from your sight to tap/ dip/ swipe for transactions.   Avoid showing off your typing skills While entering your PIN at the POS terminal/ ATM, cover the keypad using your other hand.   Sharing is not caring in this case Do not lend your card or courier it to anybody. Also, never share the photocopy of your card with anyone or post it on social media.   There are no free lunches Do not click on suspicious links which appear fraudulent in nature & never enter your card details, even if someone offers you a prize which is too good to be true.   Silence is golden Never share your card details with anyone even if they claim to be a bank representative.
