| As per the recent RBI announcement, Continuous Clearing of Cheques i.e., same-day cheque clearance, will be implemented across all Banks effective October 4, 2025, post which cheques issued by/to all customers will get debited/credited within a few hours. |
| Benefit of Continuous Clearing: Cheques deposited during the day will be credited on the same day, provided they are deposited within the stipulated cut-off time at the depositing branches. |
| Here's what you need to do: |
| • | Deposit your cheques in the cheque drop boxes at any of the Kotak branches early in the day. This will ensure that the cheques are processed and funds are credited to your account on the same day. | | • | Cheques issued from the account and received in clearing will be processed within 3 working hours. In view of shorter time window available for processing cheques, please ensure that: | |
| ○ | Your account is adequately funded to clear cheque(s) issued by you | | ○ | The cheque has no alterations and contains valid information as required for processing | | ○ | The cheque is signed as per the Bank records | |
| This change in clearing timings will be applicable for all cheques presented under Cheque Truncation System (CTS) with no cap on the amount. |
